I swam 500 meters again this morning courtesy of the excellent community pool. Monday I also swam. Today was better. A bit later in the morning and less crowded. Did my laps in 25 minutes and then sat in the sauna. It’s not hot enough but still felt great.
Walked home in the brilliant sunshine. It had rained overnight so the streets and sidewalks were wet. It was like being on a set. Everything was ready to shoot. Bring in the extras. Bring in the actors. A couple of moms pushing strollers and an old woman using her walker shared the set with me. It’s magical here whenever the sun shines.
The Democrats won enough seats last night to take control of the House in January. Didn’t fare well in the Senate. Anyway, let’s hope they use their position wisely to provide what has been sorely lacking – Congress as an equal branch of government.
